P.O.W.E.R. (it’s not as sexy as it sounds)

Ok, so you thought you were going to read this blog about how sexy power is or isn’t. Well, I’m sorry to disappoint you. The P.O.W.E.R. I want to discuss today is an acronym for a system that I developed to help agents build their businesses and get them running smoothly and efficiently.

If done properly, and consistently, these five things together equal success. Many agents, especially those who are just beginning, struggle to get business because they don’t know what to do. They get their license, get a broker, print some cute business cards, and post on IG or FB that they are excited to announce that they are now a real estate agent! Yay! How exciting!

Then……nothing. No calls, no DMs, no emails, nothing. Or maybe they do get a lead, maybe even a buyer! They work with that client and maybe even get a sale! Wow!
Then……nothing again.

Real estate is famous for the roller coaster ride of business, and the reason is that most agents don’t have a plan, or if they do, they’re not organized enough to consistently work the plan. Even some successful agents get on the hamster wheel. They run and run to put out fires, show houses, do open houses, get the files done on time, and then all of sudden they have no business again!

The P.O.W.E.R. program is designed to give stability to any agent who is failing to get business consistently. It teaches how to run your business… like a real business! With a business plan, marketing plan, budget, timelines, time management, long and short-term goal setting, and how to evaluate results so you’re not spinning your wheels on things that don’t work. Once you run your business like a real business, you will have a plan to accomplish the #1 thing you must do to be successful……get leads! You don’t have a business without leads and to get leads, you must be organized, systematic, consistent, and tenacious!

The P.O.W.E.R. program also covers two of the most important aspects of success; mindset and how to rest, refresh and rejuvenate. Mindset is vital for success; you must train yourself to be successful. Those damn negative thoughts, will creep into your brain daily, hourly, and sometimes non-stop. You must learn how to identify when you are in that negative mindset and use tools to help you change it. Rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation tie into the mindset, if you’re burned out and tired, you’re going to get into that negative mindset easier and faster than if you are rested and take time to rejuvenate your brain and your body.

I don’t coach agents to be the busiest agent in town, or sell the magic bullet to get listings, or how to rule the world of real estate, there are a ton of coaches out there to fit those roles.

I coach agents on how to build and run an efficient, consistent, business that will provide them with more than enough and allow them to still have a life. Time with their families, friends, and time for themselves to do the things they love, with the people they want to be with.
